She is the daughter of Bishop Raymond Captville and the late Evangelist Malvin A. Bessard-Captville. She wears many hats with excellence: a devoted wife of Pastor Walter L. Payne III, who together share through union the blessing of nine children. She is a gifted author, a driven entrepreneur, a certified Christian life coach, and an ordained pastor. In each role, she pours herself into helping others, placing their needs above her own and guiding them toward healing, growth, and transformation. Shayla's life is a shining example of strength, faith, and purpose, lived with unwavering boldness and an open, generous heart.
Shayla R. Captville-Payne is the owner of Elevation Place Global, LLC. which focuses on mentoring, empowering, and providing resources to help support individuals to live a healthy purpose-filled life and pursue their God-given destiny. She has previously served as worship leader, media director, associate minister and youth pastor. She is the founder-director of Send for the Women Interdenominational Ministries for over 13 years. She was ordained and licensed as a pastor after graduating from Lifeline TNT Global Ministries Minister’s Training Institute in Los Angeles, California under the leadership of Prophetess Taryn T. Tarver-Bishop. She is the spiritual daughter of Dr. Apostle Gamuchirai Innocent and Pastor Ruth Innocent of Freedom House International Church in Houston, TX.
